Trade Permit Works provides general information, planning tools, and summaries of publicly available municipal permit information to help trade contractors anticipate permit and inspection delays.
It is not official municipal guidance, legal advice, code advice, or a substitute for confirming requirements directly with the municipality or a licensed professional. Always verify current requirements with the relevant town or city before you act.
Town profiles
Town profiles summarize publicly available municipal information. Requirements, fees, contacts, and procedures change, and a profile may be incomplete or out of date. Confirm anything you rely on with the municipality.
Calculator and tools
Calculator results are planning estimates based only on the values and assumptions you provide and that are shown on screen. They are not financial advice, an audit, or a promise of any particular outcome.
Third-party links
Links to municipal sites and other third parties are provided for reference. Those sites control their own content, availability, and terms; we're not responsible for them.
Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the site — including attempting to disrupt it, scrape it in a way that burdens our systems, submit false information, or use it for any unlawful purpose. Don't submit other people's sensitive information through our forms.
