Privacy Policy
Trade Permit Works is operated by Granite HQ, LLC ("we," "us"). This policy explains what information we collect when you use tradepermitworks.com, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We keep this short and specific on purpose.
Information you give us
The delay calculator runs entirely in your browser. Your calculator inputs are not sent to us unless you choose the "email me my results" option.
When you submit the blocker-review request, the town-spreadsheet signup, or the "email me results" form, we receive the information you enter, which may include:
- Your name and email address (required to reply or deliver the resource)
- Optional details you choose to provide: phone, company, trade, your town or region, approximate monthly permit volume, and the permit bottleneck you're trying to solve
- The calculator figures you chose to email yourself
Name and email are the only required fields — without them we can't reply or send the resource you asked for. Everything else is optional and just helps us give you a more relevant answer.
Please do not enter your customers' names, addresses, permit numbers, or other sensitive job details in these forms — we don't need them.
Information collected automatically
If privacy-safe analytics is enabled, we record only approved event names and limited page context (such as which page an action happened on). We deliberately exclude names, email addresses, free-text input, and exact calculator inputs from analytics.
Our forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to block spam and abuse. Turnstile may process limited technical signals from your browser to confirm you're a real person.
Cookies and similar technologies
We and the services we use (such as analytics and Turnstile) may set cookies or use similar browser storage to keep the site working, remember basic preferences, and measure how the site is used. We don't use cookies to build advertising profiles. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; some parts of the site may not work as well if you do.
How we use your information
- To reply to your request and deliver the resource you asked for
- To send you relevant follow-ups about permit and inspection delays (you can opt out at any time — see "Your choices")
- To operate, secure, and improve the site
- To comply with legal obligations
We use your information only for the purposes above. We do not sell your personal information.
Service providers
We share information only with vendors that help us run the service, under their own privacy and security terms:
- Cloudflare — website hosting, our backend, and bot protection (Turnstile)
- Brevo — sending email and managing our contact list
- PostHog — privacy-safe product analytics (when enabled)
Where your data is processed
We operate from the United States. The service providers above may process and store data in the United States and in other countries where they or their infrastructure operate. Wherever your data is handled, the practices in this policy apply.
How we protect your information
We use reputable providers and standard safeguards to protect your information: the site and our forms are served over encrypted connections (HTTPS), data is held with established providers (Cloudflare, Brevo), and access is limited to the people who need it to run the service. No method of transmission or storage is ever 100% secure, but we work to keep what you share with us safe.
How long we keep your information
We keep the contact information you submit only as long as we need it — while our relationship is active and for a reasonable period afterward in case you get back in touch. When we no longer have a business reason to keep it, we delete it, and we'll delete it sooner if you ask. We may retain limited records longer where the law requires.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe from marketing email using the one-click link in any message, or email us and we'll remove you.
- Access, correct, or delete the information we hold about you by emailing support granite-hq [dot] com.
- California residents: you have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request deletion, and to opt out of any "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. We do not sell personal information. To exercise these rights, email support granite-hq [dot] com.
Children
The site is intended for trade professionals and is not directed to children under 13. We don't knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date above.
